# How to Change Lanes in Subway Princess Runner

Subway Princess Runner is a classic 3‑lane endless runner. Changing lanes is simple, but timing is everything as your running speed gets faster.

Mobile / Tablet Controls (Main way)

- **Swipe left** → Move to the left lane
- **Swipe right** → Move to the right lane
Other basic controls:
- Swipe up = jump
- Swipe down = slide
- Double tap = activate hoverboard (skateboard) for protection

PC / Browser Version

If you play on a computer:
- Left arrow key = switch left
- Right arrow key = switch right
- Up arrow = jump, down arrow = slide

Beginner Tips for Smooth Lane Changes

✅ Stay in the **middle lane** as much as you can. It gives you two escape directions if a train suddenly appears.
✅ Look ahead, not at your character. Spot obstacles early so you can swipe before it’s too late.
✅ Use short, quick swipes. A long, slow swipe may not register when the game speed is high.
✅ If your swipe does not register: check your screen for lag, close background apps, or restart the game.
✅ When you have a hoverboard active, you can take one crash, but still keep switching lanes to collect coins.

Common Mistakes

❌ Swiping at the very last second — you will crash into trains or barriers
❌ Swiping too far or multiple times in a row (you may skip the target lane)
❌ Focusing only on coins and missing incoming obstacles
❌ Jumping and trying to change lanes at the same time (hard to control)

Quick Cheat Sheet

✅ Mobile: swipe left / right to change lanes
✅ PC: left / right arrow keys
✅ Middle lane = best starting position
✅ Swipe early to avoid crashes
✅ Double tap = hoverboard
